About the Clifden Station House Hotel
Nestled centrally in the picturesque town of Clifden, the Clifden Station House Hotel
is the perfect place to base your summer holiday break. Clifden is the capital of
Connemara National Park, a home to many wonderful nearby tourist attractions
including pony trekking, guided hill walks, bountiful fishing, golf, Kylemore Abbey
and Walled Victorian Garden, Dan O’Hara’s Connemara Heritage and History Centre,
and Inishbofin Island.
The Clifden Station House Hotel is located in the heart of Clifden and features 78
perfectly appointed bedrooms as well as 18 four star self-catering apartments. All
guests of the property have access to our Leisure Centre, which includes an indoor
pool, sauna, spa and Jacuzzi, as well as the Railway Kid’s Club in July and August. The
Kid’s Club features a wide variety of activities such as drama, arts and crafts, and
supervised swim time.
The Clifden Station House also has a state-of-the-art theatre on site. This summer
we are including four presentations on a weekly basis that include tradition Irish
music and dancing on Mondays, an archaeological talk on Tuesdays with Michael
Gibbons, a children’s magic show on Wednesday afternoons, and tales of Irish
heritage on Thursday evenings.
The property includes a retail centre in our Station House Courtyard, located just
behind the bar. The shops will keep you occupied perusing carefully selected
fashions from Irish and International designers and antiques. When you tire of
shopping, try relaxing with a spa or beauty treatment in our Renew Spa.
